Vibrant Hudson Valley Wedding

We are so in love with Elena and Matt and their amazing photographer Matt Miller from Diamond Eyes!  Check out these very un-boring shots from their wedding at The Roundhouse at Beacon Falls, NY.  The bride loved a lot of color and flowers were a huge priority for their wedding…music to our ears and so much fun to create!

Look, the boutonnieres and bouquets survived the mayhem on the hill!

Congratulations Elena & Matt!

Hudson Valley Wedding at The Ham House

The Ham House in Tivoli, New York has some of the most gorgeous grounds we’ve ever seen.  Michiyo and John chose the meticulously restored Italiante mansion because of their affinity for all things vintage and classic. Their wedding theme was inspired by their shared loved of literature.

True Florette Rustic California Wedding Bouquet

Owning a business and living in metro New York is exciting, but it  was wonderful to return to my sunny home state of California to play with flowers in January! We gathered arm fulls of local California flowers and foliage to create this rustic bouquet during a photo shoot at Sunstone Winery in Santa Inez, California.

Chapel Designers Conference, Santa Barbara 2014

Welcome 2014 Brides! Here’s What We’ve Been Up To…

2014 is off to an amazing start! We are so excited to show you a little peak at one of the things we’ve been up to in January. We were so lucky to be able to attend a conference in Santa Barbara, California with a large group of floral designers from around the world (the Chapel Designers) to collaborate on a few styled wedding shoots. I can’t show you too much yet, but the vineyard setting, the talent, and the inspiration were awe-inspiring. Wait till you see the professional photographs which will be released soon!

Second bouquet of the day. There was so much to play with!

We’ll see you at Torne Valley Vineyards, The Roundhouse at Beacon Falls,  The Garrison,  The New York Botanical Gardens, Patriot Hills, the Doubletree Hilton Tarrytown, Coveleigh Club, the Surf Club, Waterside North Bergen, Alden Manor, the Renaissance Westchester and many more spectacular venues in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey.

Want to see some really gorgeous bouquets? No really, my heart skipped a beat when I saw these!  True Florette is proud to be featured among these trend-setting bouquets of 2013, presented by wedding industry leader Holly Chapple. FEAST at Round Hill New York Wedding

Rupa and Doug are the sweetest couple and we’ll always remember them as the official first couple to visit our new floral design studio in Orangeburg, NY. Here they are on their wedding day at the lovely Lower Hudson Valley venue FEAST at Roundhill in Washingtonville, NY.

Rupa’s Bridal Bouquet was filled with ranunculus, garden roses, astilbe, anemone, and white scabiosa flowers.

Bridesmaid Bouquet

Rupa and Doug live in Dallas and found True Forette via The Green Bride Guide. Their love of natural, earthy décor was a perfect fit with one of our favorite design styles.

Details of the Day: Moss Flower Girl Basket and Moss Ring Pillow.

Herbs, mosses, ferns and reclaimed wood were used with a gold, peach and mint color palette. The Escort Card Table held place cards nestled in moss with woodland florals in wood stumps with mixed pods and vines. A sweet birdcage was used to collect cards from guests and keep them safe.

Blush Composite Bouquet

Blush seems to be the IT color for 2014 weddings! Another trend we’re seeing a lot of on the horizon is the comeback of the Composite Bouquet, also called a Glamelia Bouquet or Dutchess Rose.  What is that, you ask? The composite bouquet is made from a single flower variety, usually a rose or flower with a long-lasting waxy petal such as a cymbidium orchid. The flowers are stripped of their petals and reassembled to create one giant bloom.  Here is our version of the composite bouquet, soft and romantic and tied in lots of pretty flowing satin and velvet ribbon.
