March brought the arrival of Spring and even more exciting the arrival of The Chapel Designers! I was overjoyed to make the quick trip to New York City to meet this group of top wedding and event floral designers from around the country. Although I live nearby, I packed my bags and treated myself to a two night getaway in Manhattan-and it was SO worth it! Full immersion into 3 days of flowers, camaraderie and industry secrets, starting with a reception at Matthew Robbins Design Studio.
Day 1- Off to a brilliant start! Our hostess, fearless leader and floral designer extraordinaire Holly Chapple, greeted us at the studio of Renowned Floral and Event Designer Matthew Robbins. Matthew is also an author and contributing editor for Martha Stewart Weddings. It was lovely to finally meet all the Chapel Designers, and to soak in the warm ambiance of Matthew’s studio as he welcomed us and demonstrated a lush floral design from the bounty of blooms in his studio. We were surrounded by Matthew’s extensive collection of one-of-a kind vases, beautiful floral vignettes, good food and fine company!
We were also lucky to receive a copy of Matthew Robbins most recent book Inspired Weddings.
Thank you to Vicky Grafton Photography for capturing and sharing these images.

My perfect day would include exploring the NYC Flower Market and spending a sunny day outside with my boys. My company, True Florette believes in an earth-friendly approach without sacrificing style.

Considering going this year… love this post from last year!
Thanks! Yes, join us in NYC if you can- the Chapel Designers group is an amazing network of wedding florists!
