In the Spring I joined a bunch of smart and creative wedding floral designers in New York City (known as The Chapel Designers-they’re the best of the best as you’ll see in minute!). I am so proud to be part of this amazing group formed by Holly Heider Chapple, which allows wedding floral designers from around the country to be connected, share ideas and stay in the forefront of trends in the industry.
Right now we can’t stop talking about the compote dish! What’s a compote you ask? It’s a long-stemmed or footed dish usually used to hold fruit or candy, but we prefer it filled with flowers and greenery! I’m so happy to see the loose, natural appeal of flowers designed in a compote gain popularity with brides- it’s one of my favorite centerpiece styles. Here’s one I pulled together with lots of lovlies from my own garden, and a favorite I made in mercury glass from earlier this year:




My perfect day would include exploring the NYC Flower Market and spending a sunny day outside with my boys. My company, True Florette believes in an earth-friendly approach without sacrificing style.
